Lazarus Cemetery

Lazarus Cemetery is located on the shores of Lake Teganuma in Abiko City. It is the only fully-fledged Christian cemetery in Japan. It is used as a park cemetery of peace in the Lord, and the Bible verses engraved on each grave serve as silent messages to visitors, making it a place of testimony.
There is a lovely chapel in the Lazarus Cemetery. In this chapel, churches and brothers and sisters can pray to the Lord and remember the deceased who have passed away. In addition, on the highest hill at the southern end of the cemetery, there is an observation deck named "Pisgah Hill", from which you can look out over the entire solemn and clean cemetery.
In this way, Lazarus Cemetery is used as a Christian cemetery by people from the Kanto region and surrounding areas.
All events, including chapel services, outdoor services, memorial services, and burial ceremonies, are conducted in accordance with Christian doctrine. In addition, as the parent church is the Abiko Baptist Church located across the Teganuma Lake, we will take responsibility for managing the church until Christ returns.
Please come and visit us. The place is near Lake Teganuma and the Teganuma Prefectural Natural Park, and is a quiet place surrounded by forests and wild birds, so you can remember your loved ones and offer a quiet prayer.
